COMPETITIVE RACE FACT SHEET
Apply for the Competitve Children's Run
WELCOME to the 9th annual Litchfield Hills Children’s Race. This race is a competitive event covering approximately 2.3 miles through the Borough of Litchfield. This timed event is open to all children 11,12 and 13 years old. There will be trophies for the top two finishers (both male and female) for each age group. Due to the competitive nature of this event and the degree of difficulty of this course----PROPER TRAINING IS A MUST!!
The purpose of this event is to provide a running outlet to children of the intermediate age who either cannot or choose not to run 7 miles. We believe that this is an ideal in-between distance (with a degree of difficulty) and will serve nicely as a feeder system to the main race for these children in the years ahead.
